The Short Version
Speading is a simple, one-time purchase. No subscriptions, no hidden "pro" tiers, and no recurring fees.
Because I don't handle your payment directly (Apple and Google do), I cannot manually issue a refund to your credit card. You have to request it through the store where you bought it.
How to Request Your Refund
On Apple (iPhone, iPad, Mac)
Apple handles all their own billing. To get a refund, you must use their "Report a Problem" system:
- Go to reportaproblem.apple.com
- Sign in with your Apple ID.
- Select "I'd like to..." and choose "Request a refund."
- Select the reason you want the refund and choose Speading from your list of purchases.
Note: Apple usually makes a decision within 48 hours.
On Google Play (Android)
Google’s process depends on how long it has been since you bought the app:
- Less than 2 hours: You can often find a "Refund" button directly on the Speading page in the Play Store app. This is instant.
- Less than 48 hours: You can request a refund online via Google's Refund Webform.
- More than 48 hours: You will need to "Report a Problem" in your Order History.
Important Notes
- Loss of Access: When a refund is granted, the app stores will automatically revoke your license. The app will likely be removed from your device or stop functioning.
- Technical Support: If you are requesting a refund because of a bug, please reach out to me first. I’m a solo developer and I’m usually able to fix bugs within 24-48 hours!
- Feedback: If the app wasn't what you expected, I'd love to know why. Your feedback helps me make Speading better for everyone.
Need Help?
If you're stuck in a loop with Apple or Google, or just want to tell me how I can improve the app, email me at speadingapp (at) gmail "dot" com.
